re i did a fesh install of piler 1.3.10 and noticed that the same
file ist missing too.
Even the developer version shows this behavior.
Is this the expected way when there is a entry in cronjob which calls this file?

Hello Janos,
on a completely new installation with Piler 1.3.9 / Sphinx 3.3.1 and with no
imported mails i alway get this error:
ERROR: index 'delta1': reserved field name 'from'.
FATAL: failed to merge index 'delta1' into index 'dailydelta1': failed to open
/var/piler/sphinx/dailydelta1.sph
Hello,
i upgraded my piler installation 1.3.7 to 1.3.8 on a Debian 9 (Buster).
After deleting some mail i wanted to purge them using pilerpurge.
Doing this i got an error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/libexec/piler/pilerpurge.py", line 4, in
import MySQLdb as dba
postinstall
After doing so i noticed that there is no config-site.php in /var/piler/www/
How can i recreate this file?
Thanks

Hi Janos,
i’m trying to gat a working backup / restore script for my piler installations.
But my efforts are more or less without a success …
Perhaps you can give me a slight hint?
My backup script looks like this:
- - - - - - -
systemctl stop rc.piler.service
systemctl stop rc.searchd.servi
the script, which is mentioned in the docs, login page is
shown correctly.
I changes domain values to my domains but this error persists.
Can you help me with this?

Hello Janos,

Since i'm in a testing environement it worked for me.
I'm going to test this on a productiv system in the next days.

But how to get back emails when they are gone in WebGUI but are found in
sphinx index?
In FAQ you explained a way to restore those emails, but i am not quite
familiar with this.

x27;dailydelta1': kbatch
target 'main1' from merge source index must also be in destination index
But all marked mail are gone and not shown in search list.
Is this a severe fault or can it be ignored?

Hello Janos,
this is a great idea and it did the job.
I was kind of confused by changing cronjobs seeing no changes in WebGUI.
Thanks a lot!

Does it matter where to put it in sphinx.conf?

I'm using piler version 1.3.5 ans sphinxsearch 3.1.1
Thanks for your help.

Hello Janos,
thanks again for your advice.
I changed values according to your suggestion and it works.
But i stumbled upon WebGUI, where indexer job is shown as a regular
30-minute-job, even if values are changed in piler cronjobs.
Is there some workaround for this?

Hello,
i changed piler SMTP-Port to a self chosen one.
Within healtch check (WebGUI) piler shows ein error: "SMTP-Status:
piler: ERROR"
Where to modify those checks?
Thanks,
BKH
