It installs under Ubuntu Feisty. But that's about it. I see in the program
menu, bu it doesn't run. I have to go back and look at their prerequisites.

The HP DL580 is an Opteron box, right? Opterons have some pretty
sophisticated CPU power management and throttling mechanisms, these
might be screwing up the kernel's sense of time.
