As far as I know, the PVCS setup there is flat, i.e. it's similar to
RCS more than anything els
Perl should be available in AIX5L and up but not quite sure in 4.x
though. Otherwise it could be downloaded as rpm in AIX Toolbox for
Linux Applications:

Yeah you've got it right, do you have any idea on the repository
directory structure of the pvcs, is it the same as svn? I've found a
tool on the net pvcs2svn by polarion, it runs on java, i hope this
tool could lessen my burden.
