if you use the apache addhandler command for things like php, perl, python, etc
it can create a huge hole if you allow uploads into your web space (images for
example). the unbelievable behavior is that addhandler (and other friends from
mod_mime) look for the extension anywhere in the filename

Yeah, I've found a G4 for $40 that has OS 9.2.2 on it. Maybe that
is what I should do. My rent is flat rate at the office so using more
electricity seems like it is no big deal

You could also buy an older PPC Mac in that price range. Most of them
support Linux just fine.

Out of curiosity I did the online chat with them. I was told that they
aren't shipping it with Ubuntu on it yet, but that they had all the
drivers available. I was told that there wasn't a set price for a
discount for not purchasing Windows, but tha
Is the ARM a big endian processor?
There are embedded ARM boards for $150 that come with Linux distros.
You'd have to check if the tools come with. You'd have a pretty bare
bones machine, but you could ssh into it and do all the command line
stuff, at your desktop.

On the tech spec, it does say Ubuntu 9.04.
What would the HDMI port be tough to configure under Linux?
Is the ATI Mobility graphics card a good one? I have mostly Nvidia ones at
home.

The hardware looks pretty standard, the HDMI out might be a bit of trouble
to get working but should be do-able. Dell says they offer

Would anyone be interested in working out a deal with me to
allow me to login to a big endian computer and build/run some

Does anyone has any experience running Linux on the new Dell Zino line of
PCs?
I want to use it as a media center kind of box. It seems low
cost and even has an HDMI out.
