I do not believe that a USB to Ethernet dongle could change a USB printer
to become a network printer without the printer's firmware modifications.
My advice is to use the included WiFi to connect the printer to your
network. Or get a print server.

Thank you, I think that the issue is with the Mikrotik. I think I may have
a manged
stanza in the fire wall.. This got me aimed the right direction.
I have for the time being put in a home router with openWRT in it, it is
doing fine
now I will take my time and tear into the mikrotik and see
