For the kernel version just do uname -a or go in the gnome system manager
and there is a tab that will tell you the kernel version. As for the screen
saver i do not know.

My capstone group are using the PS3 with linux on it and we were wondering
if any of you know of a good web camera that is good and will work on the
Cell. We plan on using open cv for video processing so any brands is good.

Worst comes to worst you might want to replace your card like the intel 3945abg
card because that works right out of the box. I think because u do have a
thinkpad you can replace the card without issue since the wifi card has a cover

So perhaps I will keep my router for now and when I do get the money I will
purchase a new computer and just put ipcop on it. It's a good idea because
my fedora server is running a samba, media, and maybe a ftp/drop box type
server and I think it would be best for another computer to do the
torrents
b/c when I torrent internet is really slow even when the dl speed is around
400kBs and I do have cox and the dl speed is around 20 megs.
