Sorry - it looks as though SoftSqueeze doesn't decode the FLAC24 stream
properly. There's a new version at inguzaudio.com/EQ/ wh

Yes, I managed to get their on my own after seeing the error when trying
to select the RTSP/lame type in the server settings. I put lame.exe
into
SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
and now all seems well.
Thanks for the speedy reply.

Thank you Inguz, good work there. If it works, it is surely better than
buying a TACT. I have some different problems though - have you (or
anyone) got a clue?

Do you have lame.exe installed in the Bin directory?
If you enable d_source debugging it will show on the log what is
causing the problem, but I suspect the above.

I'm running SlimServer 6.3.1 - 8468 - Windows 2000 - EN - cp1252 against

AlienBBC in this environment without any problems up to and including

All very odd, but I can live with it! Have you got a donation link so

Your radio 5live test is not valid as it is in WMA whereas AlienBBC
access uses Mplayer and RealAudio.
Does the standalone mplayer test work OK or do you get choppy audio
with it ?

I am having problems with live BBC feeds which are choppy and broken and
usually stop after a few minutes.
I am reasoanbly sure that the wireless LAN / broadband connection etc.
is ok as I can get Radio 5 Live through the SqueezeNetwork and it works
fine.
I'm using SlimServer version 6.2.2-7135
so similar to KDF's Advanced Alarm there could be an Advanced Sleep
plugin.

I tried this in 6.5 and nothing is mixable after a full scan. I also
have checked the "use iTunes" checkbox. Should I turn that off?
Might be interesting to know, yes.

I live in UK and have a DVB-T card in my slimserver PC.
I have been trying to remote control the card from the Squeezebox
remote for some time.
With the help of bpa and My Picks I have now got to the stage where I
can now assign a single favourite key to a DVB-T radio channel and the
DVB-T card
Well I've made some progress.
Softsqueeze outputs through ALSA and arecord(1) can use
its dsnoop thingy to copy the output sound. So doing
SoftSqueeze &
arecord -t cd -f raw -Dplug:dsnoop | goom2
sends audio stuff to goom2.
Now I just have to work out what format stuff goom2 really
likes :)
Having had a peaceful night - I can confirm that it worked for me.
However, I know that this does not address the full requirement of the
original poster. However, it is much closer to what I wanted to
achieve.
