I think as I already had a working AlienBBC installation, when I upgraded to
1.06 I manually installed from the zip file, rather than exe installer.

The version of mplayer you are running is 1.0pre7 with mods for the
"garbled audio". I think this is cauaing the problem since you have
the problem on all live streams. You should install mplayer 1.0pre8 or
later (e.g. 1.0rc1) and see if the problem goes away.

Recently user with mplayer 1.0pre7 version have had problem with BBC
live streams so version nos are important.
Does the problem happen only with 5Live or with any BBC liv
I am trying to listen to BBC Five Live and am finding that the live stream cuts
out after exactly 4 minutes. At exactly the same moment, my not-playing
screensaver kicks in (RSS news ticker).
I tried playing the stream for 2 mins, then navigating around and returning to
the now playing stream,
Sleep timer already built in - see button marked "sleep" on the remote
or "zzz" on softsqueeze.

Does a plugin exist for a sleep timer? I often leave my squeeze box on

haven't found any information about how it is calculated but a guess is
