1st one worked perfectly.
2nd one I could hear, but garbled.
3rd one - no joy

None of them I think.

Goto the Custom Browse section in Server Settings/Plugins in the web

Hello,
I am a relative newbie to AlienBBC and I have been experiencing the "No

haven't found anyone yet with the same issue as me. My setup is as

- Slimserver 6.5.1
- AlienBBC 1.06 (installer)

Then the answer to your first post question is -no-. To the best of my
knowledge there is not such as a feature out of the box.
Albeit it is doable, you'd need skills to configure existing scripts
and plugins as mentioned above.
Not sure it's applicable for you; but if you have a laptop/tablet

Hi
Thanks for the replies. I figured it out in the end. There were two
problems. The first was the path to the conf files was wrong and the
second was permissions.
These are now sorted and I can read/write conf files. My remote is a
JVC model that does not have a prebuilt conf file so I used the

Can I add that I am extremely grateful for your help on this. This is
part of the reason I bought a squeezebox. The user base seems to be the
most helpful bunch around.

Hi Greg - I've been enjoying the plug in for some time now. One thing
I'm curious about is have you ever gotten a request to give the option
to display a current temp directly from a personal weather station or
other temperature acquisition method?
For instance I currently take the current temp

This is beginning to look very like the same problem on another forum
where another OSX user play BBC stations using Mplayer on an Intel Mac
Mini yet the Broswer can play BBC stations.
The following command test different parts of mplayer.

a succesful update.
The reinstall solved the problem (whatever it may have been).

I hadn't tried it with iTunes closed! iTunes is 'always running' on my
setup.
In the meantime, I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and my first
attempt to succesfully update has worked.
I'll experiment with a closed iTunes too and let you know.
Jon
PS. Many thanks for your prompt help.
That looks dodgy!
The plugin thinks it's connected to iTunes but the connection cannot get
the version number from iTunes.
If you have iTunes closed, does it open automatically when tracks are
logged by the plugin?

Jon,
It is working fine for me on the same version combination.
Have you looked at the --d_plugins log file for errors?
Usually when people have issues after a new version of iTunes, it is
because iTunes has not installed the COM registry data correctly and
it's fixed after reinstalling iTunes.

Oh how I wish I had stuck on the stuff that worked and not twisted and

I've been refrain ing from an itunes 6 to 7 upgrade for some time for
all sorts of reasons - not least of which was a stable working
Slim/iTunes and iTunesUpdate setup.
Finally upgraded the other day (from 6.x to 7.1.1.
