I followed the instructions and installed mplayer as described (after I
had worked out how to view hidden files). Alien BBC works fine.

I just went to load alienbbc on my mac and noticed the following warning
at stage 3 (MPlayer):
"These binaries are built on Mac OS X for the PPC platform. They will
not work on Intel-based Macs. "
Is there a work around for this?

Does anyone have Moose running on a system where slimserver is running
on a different machine and that machine is a Mac? if so I would love
some advice on setting it up. For example, i can't find anything
pertaining to mysql on the mac.

I took the opportunity to upgrade from 6.5.0 and then install the latest
inguzaudio fresh.
Things worked completely ok for a bit, but now my squeezebox display
shows some odd things in the eq submenus.

must be something didn't initialize properly on startup last time. The
weather.com icon threw me - I thought it was coming from the web, but I

A new version (1.3.1) of the CustomSkip plugin is now available, there
is no new functionallity just an error correction:
- Corrected problem where an empty filter set with no filter items
caused dynamic playlists to always fail.

That message means the AlienBBC plugins hasn't been installed properly
or slimserver hasn't been restarted after a good installation.
Also make sure you have downloaded the correct AlienBBC for the version
of Slimserver. One of the AlienBBC webpages has a misleading link for
AlienBBC.

That stream is marked as a "live" stream and at 256kbps which means you
must have a sustained 256kbps data stream from the source with no gaps.
Since the stream is live if the network cannot deliver packets in time
then source will drop packets because stream is live and realtime.
What happens is
I had not set my new softsqueeze player settings so that the upper bit
rate for the output was still set to no limit. I just needed to modify
this setting.
Softsqueeze is a great new addition to the squeezebox.

* packet loss
* are using an out of date version of mplayer.
* CPU is not fast enough or system is too loaded.

The volume on the SB2/SB3/Transporter is set to a fixed value as soon
as an IR command is selected for either volume up and/or volume down.
This fixed value can be changed directly in the IR Blaster file itself

I removed the plugin and installed an older version and it now works
like a dream. Very nice!!
My only remaining question is why is the Squeezebox volume stuck at 6?
Can I change this to output at maximum?

The inguz.exe file didn't get replaced when I ran the msi (I shut down
slimserver, but didn't nuke any files. I shut down slimserver again,

After not checking the downloads page for a while, I've just picked up
the latest version of everything (TrackStat, SQLPlaylist,
DynamicPlaylist in particular) and now I cannot get SQLPlaylists of
DynamicPlaylists to work. When I try to start one using the remote, say
"My Top Tracks", I get an err

Thanks for doing that so quickly! You seem to have fixed the streaming
problem anyway, as PHC now plays. However its playing at a much lower
volume than anything else (i.e. other streams, regular tracks). The
