kdf,
I have done scans with the MIP debug dump and have not seen anything in
particular that would indicate a problem.
I'm about to add music to my library, therefore a rescan is in order.
Will set the MIP log to debug and post here.

Hi kdf,
I have not (ever) installed Trackstat on this machine.
Since a clean WXP install, I've been the only one using this box.
Strange.
Thanks
ok...go figure -
I uninstalled MIP & SC.
Cleaned the registry and removed remnants of both programs.
Reinstalled MIP and the newest SC Trunk.
SC is currently importing MIP database and I am seeing signs of the mix
icon in SC.
Wonders never cease.

I'm inching toward that end myself.
MIP forum is not much help...I suppose it's primarily an SC issue eh?

Go to Server Settings -> File Types, and remove InguzDSP entries from

Trackstat is a plug, and if you are seeing debug messages about it, then
someone has installed it at some point.
It would appear that SC is not able to see any songs in your MIP
library. As you haven't used plugin.musicip set to DEBUG while
logging, it's hard to say what might be going on ther

I'm having a problem accessing AlienBBC over the web interface.
Accessing it and using it direct from a Squeezebox works perfectly. The
system in question is a Qnap TS-109 (latest firmware, 1.1.2, build
1009T), running SS 6.5.4.
No error is displayed - when I click on the AlienBBC link in the hom

Fixed now, thanks. I deleted the custom-convert.conf and renamed
slimserver-convert.conf -> custom-convert.conf.

Did you install the AlienBBC from the .exe installer or from the zip
file ?
If it was from the zip file - I think the Linux custom-convert.conf was
included. Rename the file slimserver-convert.conf to custom-convert.conf
and restart.

I have AlienBBC v2.00 beta 7.0. I tried to listen to BBC Radio 4 tonight, as
there was some program about Radiohead's OK Computer, but I couldn't seem to
get any AlienBBC stations to stream.
I had everything running fine in 6.5, and just copied the relevant mplayer
stuff from my old 6.5 folder
I installed the Ignuz Audio plugin and I want to turn it off to test new
equipment. I have unchecked the EQ in the server/plugin menu- restarted
server software -The only thing that this does is remove the EQ from the
plugin list on the squeeze box but the Inguz DSP is still running in the

This is great news! I've been beta testing the Jive Hardware Beta, but
because I can't live without TrackStat and friends I've been jumping
between my production 6.5 SS (ubuntu) and dev. 7 SC (Windows). I can
see SC 7 on ubuntu in my near future!

Hello again
It is not possible to change the output voltage without changing the
hardware inside Transporter as the transistor driving the IR out is
connected to the 3.3V power line.
So you'll need additional hardware between the IR out and your amp
(i.e. at least a transistor and a power supply

You can remove the keyboard mapping from the server\IR\Default.map. i.e.
comment out the line "search = search" by putting a # at the start of the line.

Does anyone know how to disable the search button on the SB remote (for
SB1/SB2).
(Here's why: this player plays in a bar, playing random genres. Owner
wants to avoid personnel searchin and selecting their favourites and
breaking the randomness by playing lots of a single genre after
another).
