Liam - please note that you wouldn't need AlienBBC with a hardware player. WMA
is decoded on the player in these cases. So if you're serious about a SB it
might be worth getting one now, instead of wasting your time with configuring

Hey good Doctor ..
'Love the plugin! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I love
the ability to slide songs up and down the playlist a' la Winamp's
playlist functions. Moving songs up or down one notch at a time as the
Slimserver playlist has you do is mind-numbingly slow and cumbersome.
OK in your setup you need AlienBC.
Softsqueeze does not support WMA and needs to be transcoded. AlienBBC
provides the necessary transcoding rules for Linux and OSX platforms.
SlimNAS is Linux based.

Yep, I'm using AlienBBC 2.0beta and the latest nightly build of SC7.
I don't currently have any hardware players, just SoftSqueeze (3.5)
I think I'd tried those URLs through the other directory services in

So is AlienBBC still needed? (if not, perhaps that could

Latest version of AlienBBC for linux downloaded a couple of days ago,

So do any of the GWR stations work for you?
I can't check where I got to Capital and Classic - those may have been

I'm trying to get streams like Capital Radio and Classic fm working
through SlimNAS and AlienBBC. Currently I can get audio from all the
BBC stations but the WMA streams for Capital and Classic etc just sit
there silent.
These stations are in the default list (under the old GWR Radio
heading).

Yes, please raise a bug. I'd speculate that the bug is around one of
these two lines:
frame 11: Slim::Music::Info::setBitrate
(P:/Music/SlimServer/trunk/server/Slim/Player/Squeezebox2.pm line 354)
frame 12: Slim::Player::Squeezebox2::directHeaders
(P:/Music/SlimServer/trunk/server/Slim/Networking
That's how iPeng handles it now, too. Was hoping to get rid of all the
callbacks, though

it's not a bug: when you change from default fonts to user defined font size,

What security software do you have installed on the XP box? Try adding

If it's something like *_size, then no, don't change it. You can see them in

Guys, I've done my homework :-). The issue with MIS displaying any values you
