I think I answered this one in the PM: "live preview" just isn't 100% accurate.

Some other ideas for extension:

Ok, Martin (& all other interested people),
Here is my small contribution to the V6.5 branch of WeatherTime.
I've added wind conditions & humidity, all missing French translations
and the missing "Overcast" string too :)
I've made a few changes such as moving the forecast lo - hi temp to

Hey Thromer,
Your work is much appreciated. I migrated to Squeezecentre from
Slimserver and followed your clear directions. I'm techno-challenged.
But it worked!
Just listened to the Cubs beat the D-Backs.
Keep up the good work.

I'm seeing nighttime conditions in the XML feed for my area for the
current day. Can't this be used?:

A simple reboot of my computer and now it works like a charm. :)

I bet this exists but I either get no results or far too many when I
search for it...
I need a plugin or other solution that will allow me to view the
timings against individual tracks in a playlist, the total running time
of the playlist, and how far into it we are.

Another thing I noticed as being slightly different in this new version

I use AutoDisplay to blank the screen at night (to avoid lighting the

One thing that would be a great help in the NowPlaying plugin would be

The hardest part is mplayer, which other flavours of linux seem to have
issues with but this simpler method works every time for me.
