This is a very old thread. MPlayer has been improved a lot and the bug in the original post is gone. A standard build or install of mplayer will work with AlienBBC. However some bundles of MPlayer launch a GUI which is NOT the version you need for AlienBBC. I am not familiar with Centos but th

I've had a few problems with the wunderground feed not responding. When it can't communicate, SqueezeCenter is blocked for 20 seconds, so everything is unresponsive. It looks like the WeatherTime is using Synchronous HTTP communication; any chance it could be changed to use AsyncHTTP? [16:13:
