I have tried again rating a song from SqueezeCenter, exiting MusicIP
Mixer, and reopening MusicIP Mixer- this time the rating has updated.
I'm not sure what I've done differently to last time, but it seems to
be working now perfectly... thanks.

SUMMARY

Ok, downloaded activeperl from http://www.activestate.com and figured
out how to... really simple.

Took the plunge and updated Trackstat to 2.01 and installed most of the
new 2.01 Plugins from Erland (Custom Browse-Scan-Skip, SQL Playlist,
Dynamic Playlist and Database Query) I added a couple new albums
rescanned the library via the SC UI, played/rated a few songs and
created a few dynamic play
After looking the full log file, it looks like a large percentage of
cases return a successful rating- I assume this line indicates so:
