Thank you so much for such an awesome plugin! What a great idea!
I've found myself getting confused when songs keep repeating and
realize my player is still in a shuffle mode. Every time a song is
added (playlist changes), it's shuffled again making it possible for
any previously played song

I find it hard to believe that no one has tried passing dts audio from a
dts cd with the cdplayer plugin to their SB3 or SB2. I just tried it one
my system and I get white noise in my receiver plugged to the digital
out of the SB3. Has anyone else tried this? Am I overlooking an issue

Am I overlooking an issue which should prevent this from working
properly?
yes - cdda2wav only plays ordinary CDs.

I've upgraded to 7.2.1 - 23223, the nightly release from 20/9 (had an

Oh, could cdparanoia do it then?

A problem with 7.2.1 squeezecenter nightly. The plugin doesn't translate
BSC state commands to players, audio.transport commands aren't being
acted upon either. So, no on/off/previous/next control from xAP.
With the xapbsc.cmd state messages, although the players never change
state, xapbsc.event
I've managed to revert to 7.2 without breaking everything. xAP control
via BSC and audio.transport is working again, so that was all down to
the nightly.
BSC control from Floorplan is still broken. It's definitely the id= as
sent by floorplan. I'm not sure who's wrong here, for this particular
I don't know - I don;t have dts cd's - what is the command line to use
so that cdparanoia can take a specific track and send to a pipe in real
time ?

Unfortunately, I think the only solution is to have SC rescan playlists
after adding songs from Amarok, and before adding songs from SC.

BPA, you rule! Thinking about re-writing the cdplayer plugin with
cdparanoia as the ripper? Anyone wants to join in?
Actually I dont really have the proper pre-requisite to help with the
right syntax. Bummer.

So, if I were somehow able to tweak Phil Meyer's PluginManager to make
squeezecenter rescan playlists before adding the track, I might be in
business. Anyone have an idea of how I might going about doing this? Is
there a simple command for rescaning playlists?

Running 7.2 in XP, I was able to install Inguz, and today tried to use
it to do room correction. I first ran pink noise, and it worked fine,
recording with Audacity.
I proceeded to the sweep tones, and had a problem with Audacity
stopping, so no success there. No problem, I'll just listen to

Stupid question, but: I assume you already selected EQ - Settings -
Test Signals - Off? Did that setting stick when you go back to it
from the main menu?

Actually, these DTS cds are just like Red Book Audio except with DTS
instead of PCM encoded in the tracks (i'm not sure i'm technically
correctly expressing myself). There is a thread on these forums on
ripping these DTS CDs to flac and then having the SB2 or SB3 passing

I don't understand. The default is to use Flac.
When you first tried - were you trying to play it through a stereo

When I first tried, I had WAV streamed to the SB3 to save CPU cycles.
How foolish of me :)
With FLAC it works out of the box like a charm.

I also have the same no-workie behavior w. the play buttons in the
default skin. The XM plugin, however, works 100% in the classic skin.
You can also save your favorite XM stations you like as Squeexebox
favorites and they'll play in the default skin.

Has anyone been successful in getting XM to show up on the Duet
controller? It show up in SqueezeCenter but not on my controller.
