I also am a Canadian subscriber. Is this plugin working right now for
anyone? If it is, it would be helpful to knowm what versions of the
plugin and SC you are using and on what operating system and in which
country you subscribe.

I'm running SqueezeCenter 7.3.2 on Gentoo Linux, and just installed the
AlienBBC v2.5-7.3 plugin via the Extension Downloader.
When I try to play a stream (for example, Guy Garvey's Finest Hour in
BBC 6 Music), I get the following error in
/var/lib/squeezecenter/server.log:

Ah-ha! So, is the non-Alien BBC R7 stream I can get identical (in terms
of audio quality) to the one I can get via Alien?

I believe the "newer" live digital BBC stations are available in WMA
outside of the UK - namely 1Xtra, 5Live, 6Music and BBC7. However the
"Listen Again" for these stations are only available in RealAudio
outside of the UK.
