just went back "live" about 9PM Pacific for me.
I had emailed XM today about the poor stream quality and dropouts -
they claim they are working on "upgrades to the system" over the next 48
hours.
Not sure if that's a usual party line, I guess we'll see.

Thanks BPA, I'll pay for any membership or other costs during testing.
But just so you know, Pandora is also broken; and, that's broken in a

Mhh. I won't be too affirmative, but I do the same as you, with volume
fixed at 100% in player preferences; I think the Classic shouldn't
display the volume bar when its output is fixed, it's just misleading.
I can do this with my system: i) lower the volume (on the amp, with the

No movement. I haven't had time to do work on plugins recently - just
basic work on AlienBBC.
I checked the logs and couldn't see anything helpful. The only way I
can see to debug the problem is to sign up for a 3 day Sirius Trial.
That means installing Sirius Plugin and ensuring 3 days of guar

I don't use the CSRF protection stuff. I just confused SCRESTART with
For AlienBBC to play RealAudio streams - you need a build of mplayer
that runs on your Synology.

Hi everyone
I have seen quite a few posts about how to fix AlienBBC plugin issues,
but I have no clue about Linux, so I'm a bit lost.
I have installed the AlienBBC Plugin on my Synology DS408 using
Extension downloader. Then turned off Squeezecenter and turned it back
on. AlienBBC shows up under

the Boom setup and noticed it had bit rate limited set (to 96) changed
this to off and it all works - but I PROMISE this never affected it

Could be that you have "proxied" streaming enabled for one or more
players. iPlayer works best with this disabled. I would recommend
using the latest 7.3.3 nightly if you do not want to try out the
bleeding edge 7.4

Slim Picks Radio4 uses the 48k WMA stream so the comaprison is not
really valid as you are trying to play 128k MP3 streams with
BBCiPlayerplugin.

Ok after clicking around ive tried other boom stations - most work e.g.
all of absolute radio and so mp3 does play but RADIOIO does not which
seems on the ones i looked at to be a PLS file. Does that make sense? If
there are a few specifics I can try individual streams. Mp3 files play
of course. I
I'd be happy to test any builds you have for Linux. I've already applied
the previous patch BTW. I thought I should know how to do it and it
didn't take much googling to find out how.

The BBCiPlayer plugin does not use mplayer so doing anything with
mplayer would not affect BBCiPlayer plugin ability to play streams.
Stick with problem solving with BBCiPlayer only as AlienBBC uses
transcoding which has a different methods to get programs and to play
streams.

My wife called this morning and said that she was unable to get ours

I'll verify this. Changing the location does hoewever make your local
radio stations not so local anymore...

Does that not work any more?

Ha! Very clever! And very cool. I'll add a set of "playlists" for this

Well, I think so. It's the only way to get Last.fm RADIO on your
squeezebox if you don't live in US, UK or GER... So, I use it mainly for
the radio functions... The scrobbler is included in Squeezecenter, so
that function could

I think it may be Gentoo specific as ED works OK for Linux for other

I used the Squeezecenter Extension Downloader for the installation; I

I guess this is because there's some MySQL specific code in the plugin and 7.4
has switched back to MySQL.
Are many people still using SqueezeScrobbler?
I expect the radio side of the plugin is either going to or already has stopped
working, and I don't plan to update it any more.

Unfortunately - more or less - yes. The WMA (except Woreld Service)
use 48kbps streams and RealAudio use 64kBits/sec stream. WMA and
RealAudio use different codecs
