Thanks again Matt.
The command for my USB stick seems to be
lsmod | grep dvb
I'll keep a record and use it if I need to - but still awaiting BBC's
AAC streams for the time being.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are
right!
SC 7.4 - 26714, WHS SP2(VMWare 1.8 Device(No Sound Card)).
Slimp3(FW 2.3), Receiver(FW 60) Controller(7.4 r5580).
I get this output without .asoundrc, when I've created .asoundrc with
this parms:
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave.pcm {
type dmix
ipc_key 1024
slave {
pcm hw:0,0
rate 44100
}
}
}
I still have this error

The lirc_client.h header file is probably not included in the package
you installed. It's in lirc-utils on my Arch Linux distro. Also, you
shouldn't need a reboot.
Code:
$ ls -l /usr/include/lirc/lirc_client.h
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2257 Jul 22 2008

I think I've found the problem with live streams - should be fixed in
the next nightly release of the server.Not sure if it is related - but
SqueezePlay now streams OK too.
Thanks! (if it was you)

First read 'this thread'
(http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=426996), try a build
using the suggestions there and then post any errors that still remain.
Hopefully, we'll be able to get Squeezeslave running on the PS3.

Please go to the Players screen (swipe right on NowPlaying). Under
MusicSources you should see our SqueezeCenter as well. May take up to
40s to show up on some network configurations,
my feed stopped last night sometime
can't get it back
seems to buffer about 10-20 sec and then stop
tried stopping/starting - no change

i had the bitrate setting as HIGH, changed to LOW and it started,
stuttered a bit, but is playing

If it works using the default device, which it appears to from you're
previous posts, then it's not likely an issue with squeezeslave but
rather an alsa config issue.
I mainly use the OSS version, so I don't have any other suggestions.
There has been lots of discussions around alsa and dmix on

Hi,
Thanks for the swift response, weird, it had deleted my IP when I
updated on app store last night for some reason, set up again now
connected, I don't usually use squeezenetwork but for future ref where
do I put in that pin number in the SN settings...
I think shutting down pulse server will work for this. Anyway I'm trying
OSSv4 now as it supports my Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 now. Thanks for your
feedback.

I love the concept of falling back to the real streams - a great
idea!
Unfortunately, I'm still not able to play some programmes with the new
version though. This is what the log (Debug) shows when I try to play PM
from Radio 4 today:
Code:

Working for me.

PM also fails for me.
Could you do the same with plugin.bbciplayer debugging enabled? I don't
see exactly this right now, so want to make sure I am looking in the
right place.

Has anyone tried running SqueezeCenter on a SheevaPlug. At $40 this is
even more interesting especially if they made a wireless version.
