It sounds like your player does not support WMA or you have disabled native support. What type of player do you have ? Have you enabled Bit rate Limiting for this player ? In WebUI Settings/Advanced/Filetypes what are values for the settings for Windows Media - Flac and Windows Media native ?

If you are using the WaveInput plugin on Windows then add the following line into the file WAVIN.pm (edit using Wordpad not Notepad) and restart SBS. The value represent buffer size - if it is too small you will get stuttering so the optimum value depends on your processor, network etc. Code:

So are you trying to get real-time playback of your PC audio on SB? Because that's a hopeless cause, you'll never get the latency down that low. If you don't care about the latency, there's probably some combo of Winamp + some plugin + Icecast that can work and allow fast startup when streaming

So you can do streaming 2 ways: Instant start as close to realtime as possible. To do this you could edit the code to reduce the buffer startup values, but the problem with this is that the player now has a very tiny amount of wiggle room for any network problems. Any blip at all will result

A real Squeezebox hardware player which can play WMA natively has none of these problems and you'll be happy with a Radio. In fact for BBC you should be using the AAC streams (i.e. deselect WMA) as it will also show BBC iPlayer art and better quality audio. There are two sorts of software

You must stop and restart SBS each time you change the file. Close the file after each edit - windows caching can create strange effects. I don't think it should matter but don't put it at the very end of the file - one line before the end and add a ; such as Code:
