Thanks for looking at this both.
The BBC's addressing structure for these commentaries seems erratic and
an RSS feed would be much preferred.
I notice that this (other) page now has a scrape-able set of URL's even
though the commentaries aren't live at the moment.
As a guideline - I don't like BBC pages which have numbers at the very
end as they change often which means it would be better to have a
highler level screen to start the process - which would means even more
screen scraping.
You could ask BBC to put live commentaries in a RSS feed ?

I have submitted the following query (after a bit of a merry-go-round in
the BBC's web pages)
The URL above gives web access to live county cricket match

Can the BBC publish an RSS feed of these commentaries be so that web

I'm running squeezeslave on a Linux PC (wired ethernet), specifying the
squeezebox server address on the command line. Does this then do same
discovery protocol as Duet/SB3 for connecting to the server, or does it
bypass this?
The reason for asking is that I have just re setup SBS on my NAS box,
You are right. Squeezeslave knows where the server is because you tell
it. In
Not sure if the NAS itself has a firewall. If it does you need to open
some ports so the server can be discovered by other squeeze devices.
Specifically the * is what you seem to be missing.
Port number: 3483
Thanks for the confirmation Louis. I'm not aware of there being a
firewall on the NAS, but not confirmed this yet.
I did open those ports on my Router just in case, but I'm fairly sure
those settings only apply to NAT translation from outside, not the
internal LAN.
I also have a problem that the

Hi Peter,
Your Denon serial plugin is very interesting. Much thanks for
sharing!
You mention the Sena LS110 to provide RS-232 control when the SB server
machine is not located near the controlled Denon receiver. Any chance
the Global Cache products, such as the GC-100 would also work?

I hadn't heard of them before, but I think so. Looks like

True, but some people might need to figure out how to get musicIP ratings into
TrackStat ;-)

Currently, no. How user-friendly would you need this to be? Wouold it
be acceptable to have text-fields in the web settings for extra RS232
commands
