Thanks. I had looked at that when I initially set up TrackStat, but for
some reason at that time I neglected to install Custom Scan. That did
the trick.

Sounds like you're using a version of SS that was compiled for OSS.
Download the 'latest'
(http://squeezeslave.googlecode.com/files/squeezeslave-0.9-164-lnx26.tar.gz)
linux ALSA version.
Move and rename the squeezeslave-lnx26-0.9-164 binary to
/usr/local/bin
mv squeezeslave-lnx26-0.9-164 /usr/l

Hi, thanks for the response. I am not sure what the deal is but no
matter what I use I cant get SS to not lock up the sound device.
I used the binary you supplied and it works perfectly as SS but if I am
running SS nothing else can use the sound device.
I have tried running it using aoss as well
Have IRBlaster working OK SB3 to Harman Kardon (HK) 240 AVR with a
direct link... powering the amp on and off with the on/off of SB3. I
am not able, however to accomplish what I'd hoped for... maybe I'm

Hrm...Ok, got a boom. Got this installed. However, when I turn off the
Boom - it just goes to the time (i.e., 9:50PM). The screensaver doesn't
run, no additional info.
When I use just the Date/Time/Weather it works fine (the other
plugin/screensaver).
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

So I have installed mplayer and alien BBC. When I try to play PHC, it
stays on "connecting" for a while, and then it claims to be playing it,
but there is no audio. It even counts down as if it were playing. I'm
running squeezebox server v 7.5 on a Mac into a SB touch. Help!!!
