Does anyone know if you can get a plugin/extension for either player to
allow it to connect to the squeezebox server? I would like to use these
as the player on my ubuntu machine.

Has anyone managed to get Softsqueeze attached to the unity menu in
ubuntu. I have it on the desktop and can run it from the desktop but it
is for my wife and she would like it as a menu option.

If you're running a recent version of LMS then you can enable the DNLA
plugin in LMS. I presume rhythm box and/or banshee can function as a
client.

I see my card with - l (Juli@) but when I select ASIO Output I can only
access to CH 1/2 and I need to access CH 3/4.

I've run Whitebear for a while and normally it works great. But

It could not open spotifyd.conf ? OK .
So now does that file exists at all ? Remember to search among hidden
files too .

I installed Ubuntu Tweak and used it's script for creating a desktop
file that the Launcher uses. It has nice features for customizing the
Unity Interface too. I think Ubuntu Tweak is in the Software Center.

It should be spotifyd.exe.conf this is created by the plugin which will
write it each time it is started. The name is created from the running

still thought about that issue the last days...
Maybe it depends on the hardware. I am running it on a sheevaplug with
Debian (since today with Wheey 7.0) and i noticed that a lot of stuff is
streamed by faad or sox.
May this be the problem?
