Hi mkkyah,
thanks for your investigation on this problem! Have you tried installing
faad with
Code:
apt-get install faad
as root? Maybe that solves your problem - if yes I will add this to the
next release.

Yes, I did try apt-get install faad; but it didn't help. I don't know
the details, but as far as I understand a patched version of faad comes
with LMS, regular one is not used. Maybe
If I add my own repo, I can successfully update to the .20 version. If
the repo is not there, I see that an update is available, even if the
plugin is not installed (or maybe was previously installed -- not sure).
But is will never install.
Probably because the 'squeezebox repo'

Thanks, that would help some users of the SqueezeCloud plugin. I always
assumed it would automatically update any 24 hours or so. I'll contact
some of the admins once I publish a new version.

Still having upgrade available loop. I have manually cleaned plugin
and added even your

architecture of the current release.
I just changed some things in the installation of LMS to get faad, flac,
and sox to work (also installs lame). Just Update to

Just did a test my manually installing the .19 version. The upgrade is
offered, and it installs correctly. So

Is this patched faad now we are using? If nothing changed until today,
there are posts on the forum that telling normal faad is bugy for LMS
like stopping to play long files etc.

Plugin came back before I did try to manually install, but thanks for
the clear instruction. Must be a repo update or something.
Same tracks are refusing to play with the new version, too. I have the
SSL fix from your github page on this LMS server, but same.

Thanks a lot for that heads up: I didn't even know they had introduced a
new web based API! We're still using the now deprecated metadata API,
which they stopped maintaining years ago...
