I am listening to the Cricket County Championship commentaries on
various Local Radio presentations on the BBC Web Page.
Is there any chance of grabbing these feeds and using LMS to grab them
as the Local Radio feeds on LMS seem to be from

I would be very interested in such a plugin.
I agree about perl/squeezebox server. I tried a few times to get into
developing plugins, but the pain of learning perl combined with the
complete lag of documentation on how to write plugins killed my spirit
every time :(.

I think I managed to solve my remaining problem with SmartMix wandering
off into different genres when used with Qobuz.
I modified the SmartMix.pm line
next if $track->{released_at} > time || (!$track->{streamable} &&
!$prefs->get('playSamples'));
slightly and changed it to:
next if
I forgot: I still get a few too many repeated tracks, but I wouldn't
know where to start on that, so I'll just leave it for now and skip the
tracks...

I just found something in the Qobuz API responses that is news to
me...there is an additional check in the "streamable" section, called
"hires_streamable" which I think is new. So, I guess that means Qobuz is
indeed getting ready to offer hires streams which is really

Since you are using two different HLS implementations - that would
suggest a problem with either BBC or infrastructure between BBC and the
playing applications (e.g. DNS server, local LAN, router, IP provider,

I have setup a mp3 streamer network using an SB Classic & a headless
server (retired laptop with broken screen) running LMS 7.9 on Slackware.

The iOS and android spotify apps now have a different look and way of
handling saved music than that used by the LMS spotify plugin. Are there
plans to update the plugin to match?

as you know during a "new & changed" scan nothing seems to be exported
from SmartMix. Some tracks that I have added recently but not yet
exported due to this problem have been selected by SmartMix as part of a
mix. The artist has no relationship to the seed track either. I do not

Yes, it is variable. On Demand very often fails within the first minute,
but it can sometimes last 2 mins, 4 mins, 10 mins before stopping.
