Yes I can confirm that this dev version seems to have a bug.
Version 1.0.5 from the stable repository is ok.

Thanks Wirrunna,
I've added the * to systemctrl. The LMS Plugins page for SvrPowerCtrl
still says it's not fully configured, but the machine does sleep,
however it won't wakeup unless I physically press the power button.
When the vortexbox is sleeping there are no flashing lights on the
You can also just use "search" in the Radio menu for BBC World and
you'll get a a number of BBC World services streams

Just a reminder to Shellness, you need to use the Listen Live (non UK)
streams to get World Service in UK. (well I find that works for me
anyway).

Sorry - one more question (but at least it proves I'm reading your

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Sorry for my confusion about where
downsampling takes place - that all makes sense now.
I reckon I'll just take the plunge and see what happens when I start to
tinker with the settings. Your Chromecast bridge has

A selection play OK for me.
Do you get any shows from today ?
Which menus
I'm still using the non-Dash version of bpa's BBC iPlayer Extras plugin.
Nothing doing today: not a single show will play. Before I dig deeper,
is anyone else having problems ... or is it just me?

Hi Günther
Thanks for your quick response!
Still doesn't work despite the log now looking right. I think it must be
a hex / ascii thing.
The working shell script pipes the command string through xxd -r -p ?
Thanks for all your help

Apologies for the rambling below - most of it is just a pre-amble to my
main question (Option 3!)
Before taking yet another plunge with the Sonos system, can I run a few
questions past you please? I've always liked the Sonos gear, but the 65k
file limit and inability to play 24 bit files was

Hi Tony,
I'm very sorry - what I wrote was wrong. The protocol has to go into the
connection string, which for you should then read
Code:
udp:192.168.1.125:1
For the past couple of months I have been unable to listen to the World
Service when using the iPlayer plug-in. I am able to listen to every
other station under the iPlayer listing (Radio 1 down to BBC Radio
Cymru.) I am in London and this applies to both the UK and the non-UK
streams.

With 1.0.6.1 I seem to have missing output, it just remain silent.
I tried to clear the settings, and generate a new configuration. I tried
to change volume for the player, but still no sound.
It seems to stream ok, I can see it connect to my speaker.
I am finding that Smart Mix will frequently stop working and the only
way to fix it is to delete the plugin cache and rescan to export the
information. It will then work until it stops working again.
Am I the only one seeing this? I had to reset Smart Mix again recently.
