A lot of LMS users access live radio via a Favourites list. This
option seems missing from the skill ... ?
LMS server: Pi Zero

v2.8.5 is out there. This version hopefully will fix Spotty locking up
LMS when trying to get an access token.
We've seen Spotty completely blocking LMS for up to several minutes (for
those who decided to wait that long before killing LMS...). I've
previously tried to mitigate this issue. But
Two times within 10 minutes: at 17h53 and 17h59:

But this time there was no token refresh around those issues. So that's
not the trigger.
One more idea: go to Settings/Advanced/File Type. Disable Spotty -> Ogg
Vorbis streaming.

I succeeded in getting ngrok to run on my pi and also accessed LMS using
the URL generated by ngrok via Firefox on my laptop. When I put the same
URL into the skill settings adding port 443 I get "No players discovered
due to connectivity error" . I am using

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Pippin
Ive just upgraded to iOS 13.1.
I cant add new alarms, or adjust the time of existing alarms, via iPeng
because the time selection screen is blank. This happens on both iPhone
and iPad.
The touch controls are still active, and I can feel the vibrating
feedback as I spin the dials,
Ive realised my router also supports LetsEncrypt when coupled with
DrayDDNS so I have everything I need to securely try this except an Echo
Dot!!
I have Prime though so it will be here for Friday!

A portscanner on 9000 wouldn’t find it.
Correct: as you wouldn't get your own IP address, but only a virtual
host name, a simple IP scanner wouldn't find your LMS. A visitor would
need to know your host name. That's different from (and quite a bit more
secure than) simple port

Absolutely. If you already have a public IP address and cert (the hard
parts) then however you proxy that to
Thanks JohnB I hadn't realized, however I think it would be much better
to list them in alphabetical order, especially with a large number of
favorite albums.

It's my understanding that this is not being used to protect access to
the host, but the connection

This looks very interesting. The serveo tunnel setup is from the local
end so I presume no port opening is required?

Yes Michael, but a reverse proxy or ssl tunnel DOES implement password
protection. Its certainly not the same as exposing your LMS directly to
the outside. The online docs for the skill explain this very clearly.

But doesn't this require to expose your LMS to the internet? Don't be
soothed by the use of https: if there's no password protection
whatsoever, then I and John Doe would be able to control your players,
too. https only protects what comes out the door, but not the door itself.
Which boils

No, not really. For now I moved all new functionality to the iPeng
redesign. Doesnt make sense to have to write stuff twice...

learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox

Interesting approach.
The https section at https://smartskills.tech/mediaserver/#tab2 does a
good job of describing things.
It does mean that no LMS addon is required to be added into the local
LMS.
Will be interesting to see how many people go through the steps.

Very cool! But I need it for Google Home.

There's a new full-function *certified *Alexa skill to control LMS in
the Alexa skills store. It's called *MediaServer *and you can find it by
browsing under the category 'Music & Audio' or by doing a directed
search for any of LMS / Squeezebox / MediaServer in the Alexa app or
web-portal.
My fault.
Was working fine when I chose to play by URL but I made a copy/paste
error when adding it as a favourite.
Now corrected the URL and all is well.

They might have turned it off again - 404 not found.
Hopefully because they have finished their preparation rather than
changing things because they have seen that they have been spotted.

I *think* that albums appear in the Favorites in date added order (most
recently added at the top), at least in IPeng.
Allo Digione Signature (+LiFePo Batteries), Touch, Metrum Jade, Bryston
B4 SST2, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows
7, iPad 4, iPeng, Squeezepad.

The non-UK version is live and broadcasting trailers now as well but
AFAICT no realtime info (i.e.metadata and program images)

I'm loving listening to Qobuz in CD quality on my Squeezebox Touch. I
mainly listen to classical and Jazz recordings and concur with the above
that it would be nice to separate the individual works but my main
difficulty is that there doesn't seem to be any way to sort the favorite
albums into
