Thanks for your reply, Michael!

Out of curiosity: Is "no outcome" due to some
Hi,
I just subscribed to Spotify, mainly because LMS integration is
available. As a new user to both Spotify and the Spotty plugin, I'm
wondering whether there is any way to search both my library and
Spotify's content? If that is possible at all, is it also possible to
select whether all
I'm really impressed by the frequency of your updates! Do you ever do
anything else but working on Material? Like, at least, eating or
sleeping maybe? ;)
I had to resort to the search function to find this post again which I
had read previously on my phone without replying immediately:

Great, that should make it a lot faster. Any
I'm using Material more and more (in its mobile variant) and have 2
wishlist items (I guess that comes with providing great software
people will start to wonder if it couldn't be even greater ;)):
1. Make sleep mode settings easier to access. I use sleep mode in the
"sleep at end of current
Sorry if this has been asked before but searching for piCorePlayer and
Bluetooth mainly turns up topics about using Bluetooth speakers with
pCP.
Has anybody successfully used a Bluetooth remote with piCorePlayer? If
yes, how did you do it? If not, what would be the required steps to make

Would it be a great effort to keep the A-Z option in? I'd prefer to have
it around, at least for a while, for two (admittedly minor) reasons:
- I observe a tendency in myself to listen more to the stuff that turns
up at the top of the lists. It's quite easy to get distracted by the
shiny album

That is not the latest LMS by far. You can find more recent versions at
http://downloads.slimdevices.com. Specifically, nightly builds of the
latest version (7.9.2) are at
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9.

Just wanted to confirm that A..Z grouping of album artists is working as
expected for me as well now. Thanks for the fast fix!

Actually, I did, but since I was talking directly to the server, any
omission in Material skin wouldn't affect me. However, I managed to
introduce my own error. ;)

returned artists_loop but doesn't affect indexList or count at all. I
still see the same result, regardless of whether I include the role_id
tag or don't:

Thanks.

How exactly do you "call" that? This doesn't look like SQL nor like a
CLI command to me. I'd be interested to compare that to expected values
in my case maybe that could help clearing things up.

Thanks, I was just starting to play with the skin and hadn't even found
the jump lists yet. I think I like them better than A-Z grouping but I
still think it's strange that it doesn't work.
Some more questions while I'm here: Is there a way to browse albums in
grid mode? I've set grid mode to
First of all, thank you very much for a really nice looking plugin!
I do have an issue with browsing album artists though: The sorting seems
to be somewhat off. E.g. if I go to album artists->I it shows me four
artists whose names all start with B. This seems to be consistent
through the whole
I've been using Squeezer on my Android phone as my main control for a
while now. While I'm not particularly missing anything, I'd be curious
to know whether I'm missing out on something. I've found three more
apps: Squeeze Controller, Squeeze Ctrl and Orange Squeeze. The first one

Thanks again! Installing Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA (and reinstalling
ShairTunes2W) did the trick, everything's working fine now.
Just for completeness, the perl version is 5.28.1, the CPU is an x86_64
(specifically a Celeron N3150).
Thanks for the quick reaction! Is there a list so I could try to install
the dependencies myself? If not, what Linux distribution is known to
work?

Thanks for the explanation. I would also consider that metadata, but I
guess that's a matter of semantics and personal taste. ;)
Thank you also for the pointer to the faststart option, researching that
I found that ffmpeg also comes with a tool "qt-faststart" which does

Thank you, @bpa, seems like that was indeed the solution. I wasn't even
aware it was possible to have the metadata (at least that's my
interpretation of "index to the audio") at the end of the file. Sounds
like an...interesting design decision. At least I can't think of any use
case where it
Thank you very much for your help!
Unfortunately, I think the linked thread doesn't help me much as it's
mainly concerned with conversion settings. I think, however, that
squeezelite should be able to play both files natively.
Interestingly, the 'faad' binary on the same machine is able to
I'm running LMS 7.9.2 on a Linux server and squeezelite on a number of
Linux clients (Raspberries and Intel). I see the phenomenon that some of
my m4a files play without problem while others don't.
Here's the mediainfo for a file that works:
