If anyone finds the sound of squeezelite on Windows to be too sibilant and aggressive I have uploaded portaudio.dllopt1 which takes the edge off. It uses a few optimisation tricks in the build settings which I found when developing my own MQn player, am happy to tell Triode what they were. This

Triode, have noticed that in windows setting the stream and output buffer only works when the device is set via the output device debugging dropdown ie not using -o device1 also does the period_count parameter work in windows using the -a option eg -a 40:5 ? I can change the latency using -a
