That's what it looks like to
Hmmm, spoke too soon!
I've selected the genres I want for each album in my Spotify album list,
I've saved the changes, I've rescanned the data base, and I've even
installed an update to LMS that was available, and yet my Spotify albums
are still in the Genre 'Spotify' and not where I would like

Brilliant! Thanks.
Very easy to do using the
Since my previous problem with Spotty has been solved, I've been using
it a lot more, and am building up a collection of albums.
However, all Spotify albums seem to go into the Genre "Spotify"
regardless of what genre they may be.
Is there any way of editing this so that I can move, say, Jazz,
Just a final note from me on this.
Since changing to transcoding to FLAC rather than playing Ogg natively,
there have been no problems whatsoever. Spotty is working flawlessly,
and I really appreciate the library integration with my local files.
Thanks again to all who helped.

Success! Just played two symphonies with longish movements and no
skipping.
I presume that with Ogg enabled, the decoding is done in the Server and
with it disabled, in the SBT. (Or is it the other way round?) If that's
right, I wonder why it makes a difference where the decoding is done,
and
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it and report back.
I though Ogg had to be enabled for Spotty, as that's what's used for
compression.

Hi Michael,
Sadly it's no better. Got through about 8 minutes of the first movement
of Tchaikovsky 6th then skipped to second movement.
I've uploaded the latest log to your Dropbox.
Thanks again.

Thanks Michael,
I've deleted log.conf and disabled SongInfo and restarted LMS.
I'll see how I get on and post later.

Hi Michael, thanks for the reply.
I didn't think that Reliable would make a difference, and it didn't,:)
but wouldn't do any harm.
I've uploaded the log to your Dropbox. I hope it's the right file.
Best Regards
Serge
Still trying to understand what's happening with this.
I've downloaded and enabled Reliable, just in case that had any bearing,
and it's still skipping after 6 minutes or so.
I've tried using Spotify's app on my tablets, and it's fine, no
skipping. I've tried using Squeezeplayer on my tablet

Hi Michael,
I've installed LMS 8.1 and added my new Spotify ID but it's still
skipping on long tracks. LMS is on a W10 laptop, and I'm controlling it
through Soundicity on a W10 tablet.
Works fine on music files stored on the laptop, for streaming from BBC,
other internet radio stations and Radio
Thanks Ronnie,
Yes, keeping well, trying to find enough to do.
I'll install the update, and I've also now got a Spotify ID, so I'll try
both.
Hope you're equally well,

As thread title. Ever since I've been using Spotty on my SBT, if an
album track is longer than about six minutes, it only plays the first
six minutes or so, then skips to the next track.
It doesn't happen every time, but it only ever skips on longer tracks,
never anything under 6 minutes. I
I am somewhat confused by the bitrate and format that my SBT reports for
BBC Radio 3 iPlayer. If listening live, the SBT reports the stream
format as AAC, but no mention of bitrate. If listening to one of the
Radio3 Listen again streams it reports the format as jpg and the bitrate
as 128k. I
Thanks for the reply. Which format settings are you interested in? I
just ticked the iPlayer plugin in Squeezeserver, and it's been working
perfectly except for this niggle of reporting the stream format as jpg
rather than AAC and the 128k bit rate. The BBC isn't alone in getting
their metadata
