Presumably from what you are saying the SQLPlaylist based playlist
might have the same problem anyway, as presumably it uses ID? It will
still be v.handy to tweak the settings though, so I'll swap to using
that tonight

e was no playlist, so I would guess it had
stalled while loading the playlist for some reason. When I hit the
power it said "Alarm stopped" so it clearly still thought it was
playing.
Not entirely relevant as I don't need to use that anyway - but thought
it worth mentioni

I'm not sure I've tried it with a Random Mix playlist (not sure what
that is in fact, sorry probably being dim!).
It certainly works with a standard, non-Dynamic Playlist that I have...

that it is working with a regular playlist, so
definitely something to do with the dynamic one. The other (more
subtle symptom) which I suspect is related, is that you don't get the
flashing alarm icon when the player wakes up and plays the dynamic
playlist!
Anyone else hit this proble

icon, I just wasn't seeing it on the particular playlists I was wanting
to add as a Favourite! :-)

Did support for Dynamic Playlists in alarms etc make it into the SC 7.2
release which just happened? Would be excellent news if so, as the new
alarm stuff does all I (and I imagine most people) need and more!

Personally I swapped for three reasons:
- auto-shuffle - won't be relevant with Dynamic Playlists anyway as
I'll do the randomising in the playlist
- multiple alarms
- duration of alarm (i.e. set it to 60 mins).
I'm not sure what other people use it for - it seems quite popula
I guess this is a question for KDF more than you really, but does this
mean it would then work in ExtendedAlarm automatically in 7.2 - as it
would be picked up when the Alarm requests the list of playlists on the
system?

swap and start playing that. Also when the alarm
fires it won't swap from one playlist to another, only continue playing
the existing one.
I'll try proper testing when I get the squeezeboxes reconnected.

Screensaver works brilliantly, I have tweaked it slightly (hope that is
ok) as we found it a bit hard to read. I've got it so the bottom line
is just the time, and then the time of the next alarm is displayed next
to the "bell" symbol on the upper lin
