I guess the problem with this workaround is that I'm woken by whatever
it is I was listening to last. In other words, I can't go to sleep
listening to my music library and be woken by the radio.
Unless I'm missing something?

Ah nice one. I was wondering why I was getting beeped at in the morning
since changing from an AlienBBC to an iPlayer favourite for my alarm.
Why doesn't the alarm simply fire off the favourite the same way as
when you select it to play from the remote or the web interface?

So there is a woraround for this:
Play the stream you want to listen too on the player & then set the
alarm using "current playlist" as the alarm. This will store the stream
including enough information to restart it in the alarm handler.
The issue here is that alarms do not support the extende
It has been mentioned before, or something like it has, but it was for
7.3.* I though. I'd assumed it had been cured for 7.4.
Anyway, I've got a bit further with this now and it does appear to be a
problem (at least) with favourites and the alarm. The list of favourites
as presented by the alarm
I think this has been mentioned before through I thought the problem was
setting as Favorite.
As a workaround until it gets sorted why not have a special R4 WMA feed
favorite for alarms ?

If I use iPlayers BBC Radio 4 Live as an alarm the Boom plays the
default alarm. I've set the iPlayer BBC Radio 4 live feed as both a
playlist and a favourite and tried selecting either in my alarm settings
but neither works and the backup default always plays instead.
I had the same problem with
