Sorry, but an Atom is still well in the top 50% of the servers you'll see. Most users use NAS who are far, far less powerful. A Marvell chipset or even an old PPC based NAS will run into issues much sooner. LMS is a web server, but one written for a limited amount of clients and it doesn't scale

I doubt the server upgrade will make much of a difference. The problem at hand is that all the data for the artwork needs to be read from disc. This should be a one-time issue, though, since the server will cache the artwork thumbnails once they are generated. Plus, 8000 tracks really is not a lo

I'd guess that about 2/3rds of the artwork shows up and the same artwork is visible each time. I've got about 8000 songs and the server has 4gb of ram. When I first installed Squeeze Control, less than half of the artwork showed up. I did a full rescan of the library and more of the artwork sta

i've now tried all available controller apps including commander, orange, and logitech's own. each has +'s and -'s. all are fairly robust and do not crash, always a good sign of a good program. commander's biggest strength is in its handling of large lists such as a list of 700 songs or albums.
