Just to make sure I am not crazy, I tried again in windows (also slimserver 6.5.2). Equalizing then works fine :P But I really want to run slimserver on linux so I'll keep battling this issue. Any help is welcome :) -- tingtong5 ---

I went back to slimserver 6.5.2 today but this does not make any difference. As soon as I start a song the SB3 seems to hang :( When changing file type (for flac) from InguzDSP to built-in I got sound again. -- tingtong5

Hmm. I'm not sure: if the test signals play, that's a really strong indication that the system is set up properly. Can you try play a few tracks one after the other (and let them play out, don't skip) with EQ enabled, and post the log here? Also info about the filetype would be helpful. Thank
