I have no problems with the file, but I normally use winrar. The .zip is the original file as it was posted. Here the content in a .rar file with a .txt extension at the end. Just rename it PowerCtrl.rar and decompress it. Let me know if this works. Btw, it would be nice if someone could enhance

Your rar file worked a treat - at last I have the PowerCtrl plugin back working again now that I have moved to SC7 :-) I need to play with the settings, as Hibernate actual just actions Standby, but thanks again for the code via the rar file. -- JTee

I think PowerControl did have a Linux version. Alternatively, if you can write a script to do what you want (standby, shutdown, whatever) on your computer, the Execute Script plugin can be used to run it. Even better, one can map a button on the remote to the command in Execute Script; I have the

I've fixed it! Somehow the install.xml file (and the Plugin.pm file) got translated to MS-DOS encoding (with cr-lf at the end of the line). Converting back to unix encoding seems to have fixed the problem. I used emacs to convert to unix but I'm sure there are other ways. Not sure how they got
