Tried Fishboe,did Ir learning and the plugin still doesn't work.It
records
a config file but it simply doesnt work .It used to though prior to the
latest squeezebox server updates.

Thanks for the tip - I got IRBlaster working by using the Fishbone skin
with Squeezebox Server 7.5.4.

Honestly Ive had nothing but problems with ir plugin and the current
server
software.
The web interface doesn't change even after hitting next on the wizard
interface.
Prior to hitting the volume button on my amp,the wizard records code
while im
50 feet from the amp ,prior to hitting the button.
Can't tell you much more than that my existing config works fine in
7.5.4 after doing a straight upgrade from 7.5.3.
I haven't tried to change the config.

Hi i had the ir plugin working fine with my Parasound amp until i
updated to 7.54 .
I see there is no settings on the default skin so went to Fishbone
where I could find it.
For some reason my old config file was not there so i went to ir
learning. Now the plugin
will not learn any code

Fishbone interface did the trick for me too! Thanks for the tip. I was
hoping there was some sort of clever workaround, as I really like
having the IR blaster functionality working.

Re-installed 7.5.0 from scratch -- IR Blaster worked
Upgraded 7.5.0 to 7.5.2 -- IR Blaster continued to work
So my problem seems related to installing 7.5.1 or 7.5.2 from scratch.

I've been having problems with this, too, although I didn't notice it
until recently.
Previously, I had a Boom, and two Classics 3s and had been upgrading
each version of SBS as they were released, eventually arriving at
7.5.2.

It looks like a bug in IRBlaster (or SC 7.5.1), but simple to
workaround: When the player is ON it seems that for some reason the
type of player is not detected correctly, making the settings page of
IRBlaster inaccessible.
Solution: turn the player off, then go to the IRBlaster settings page
