I sort-of gave up because of laziness but did do quite a bit of research
and experimentation, including with a scope, beforehand. I do not recall
anything about the signal being inverted but I was looking just at the
IR-input, not something labelled NADLink.
I managed to get hold of circuit diagr
I want to connect the Squeezebox Touch to the "NADLink" input of my NAD
system. Did anybody ever try that? As far as I understood the specs, the
NADlink simply needs an inversed (1=GND, 0=5V) NEC pulse signal as an
input. I was however unable to understand how exactly the "IRblaster" is
controlled
This link may be of some help.

I have now seen a copy of the relevant IR electrical input circuit for
the NAD C 356BEE. This consists of a simple demodulator, to remove the
38kHz carrier, with a pull-down of 330ohm.
The SB output is only just over 3V, driven by an HC4066 (CH74HC4066),

Funny, I'm looking at this right now, but in a purely personal capacity,
you understand.

Here's another C325BEE owner who would like to know, especially
considering the amp's new WAF-approved amp location hidden behind an

yes i have considered this but since the squeezebox is my only source
attached to the amp I would rather use its remote since it is much
nicer to hold and to look at and it gives direct access to all
functions :)

Have you considered using the SR-5 to control the Squeezebox? I usually
don not even have the original SB remote in the living room.

Hello,
i am currently using (and loving) my squeezebox (v3) with my NAD C325
amplifier. I built myself an IR Blaster (the first on
http://www.lirc.org/transmitters.html works great) which works
perfectly with the attached .ir file (for reference for NAD SR-5 remote
users).
However the NAD amplifie
