Thanks for the reply Charles,
Changing the MusicMagic Server settings seems to have provided a
temporary fix for me. I'll wait for the rewrite for random track
fallback functionality with SQLite before going back to my old
settings.

Still no random fallback on my rig but I have discovered something
else!
When MIP passed its track recommendations along to Sugarcube, it was
always limited to 10 recommendations. I always assumed this was part of
Sugarcubes coding - but it appears not :-)

I see from your signature that you are using 7.6 which I believe uses
sqlite now as the default db. SugarCube was built against mysql so the
database query for a random track will fail.
According to the changelog its possible to switch the db method that
squeezebox is using back to mysql;
