Beverly, It appeared to me that he was offering the UPDATES, not the full software packages. The updtaes were available as free downloads on Connectix's web site, but are now "abandonware," as Connectix no longer supports the products. Did you contact him regarding this, or just kick him off

Narcoleptic 520c Won't Spin Down

Thanks Greg, for that idea. As you predicted, the whining stopped when I unplugged the adapter. So far so good, but all screws (at least the ones accesable under the kb)seem nice and snug. Having the keyboard out did help me narrow the source of the whine to the rear of the pb, though. I'll be

It's better to just buy the software, too many problems otherwise. Hard to upgrade and if files become corrupted then all is lost. Besides there are alternatves,ie instead of photoshop use macgimp. Does one really need all the stuff in Microsoft office when Appleworks is just as good? Arne -- P

Standardised test for battery charge (?)
