Booting 5300cs w/dead PRAM battery

I know that some Macs will boot with a dead or almost dead PRAM battery and the clock and calendar have to be reset. I also know that some Macs will not boot at all if the PRAM battery is dead or almost dead. My question is: Will a PB5300cs boot if the PRAM battery is dead or almost dead?

PB3400 screen problems

My PB screen started acting up a couple of days into this current trip. It worked fine for the first couple of days, then Sunday night I could only get the image intermittantly depending on the angle at which I held the screen. If I let go the image of the desktop on the screen would slowly di
