My Apple 45W Power Adapter wire is starting to break at the point where the
wire enters the plug that attaches to the back of the G3 Pismo. Can this be
repaired, or do I need an entirely new Power Adapter?
If I need a new one, where do I go?

About to do surgery on my Duo and 520c, but decided that THIS TIME I am not
gonna use the butter-knife(!) and strip the star-shaped screw in THESE
machines, like I have done in so many other..! ;-D
What is the tool I need to unscrew that star-shaped bolt, and where do I get
it?

I need to restore software on a PB 150 - Mac says shut down, insert
disk reboot,
However when I do that the disk gets spit out. This *is* the correct
PB150 restore software - but not original - I dowloaded somewhere. Does
the disk need to be named something? Or is there a key to force boot
If it's spitting it out, then it's not a bootable floppy. Macs will
always try to boot from floppy first if there's one in there (the ones
that have floppies, of course).
Stick it in after booting and make sure there's a blessed system folder
on there. If you copied it from somewhere, may just

down. So if you restart, you shut down first and the disk ejects.
One way to be certain is to shut down your Mac, stick the disk in the
floppy drive, and start the Mac back up. If it spits out the floppy,
stick it back

AFAIK, Macs always eject the floppy after shutdown, regardless of whether
it's picked in the SD cpl. One of things things I'm fairly sure of, but I'm

A better tool seems to be the Ungar hair dryer
I use my QT 100 Plus (really a 150) all the time when I'm on vacation. I
take a PB 5300c with me and dump the pictures on it everytime I'm back where
the 5300 is. I use 1700 mA NiMH batteries and they last forever!
