The Filemaker based solution I have seen is Shopkeeper. It is a custom
designed database that needs a copy of Filemaker to work. It also needs

Our campus computer store used to use one called POSIM (pronounced possum) which
stands for Point of Sale-Inventory Manager. They're still using it but have switched
to the PC version. If you're interested I can try and find out who makes it.
