ANY 100-series Powerbook battery will do, in fact.
This statement is misleading.
PowerBook 190 and 190c batteries will not work in any other PowerBook
1xx machine.
But then again, the 190/190c is really more of a 5300 than a 1xx series.

I'd like to make a further clarification of my original post, as many

Hello,
Could someone please tell me the url for downloading the updaters for
the US version of Appleworks 6? Do the updaters have to all be
installed in order, or will the last one combine all of the previous
changes? Appleworks 6 should run on a 3400 with OS 9.1, shouldn't it?
Thanks.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this;
I purchased a PB 320 Duo. A great machine, I'm very happy with it.
But it's a little bit older :-) and so far I only found a couple of games
and utilities for it via the net.
Does anyone know or remember :-) which (great!) software runs

Try hot-swapping the drive in and out while the Pwrbk3400 is running. I have
to do that with mine, otherwise the modules don't seem to want to work.
Go to http://www.apple.com/appleworks. The updaters are there right
there on the righthand side of the page for os x, previous Mac systems.

Hi Martin,
I have several dead PB145b/170 batteries that
appear to be rebuildable?
I'd appreciate that archived post.
Thanks, Bob

I've heard form a number of PB listers, all eager to see these posts.
Grijan has graciously offered to list them on his FTP. I uploaded
them to the pickles site a couple of years ago, but I htink that site
is down.
I'd be happy to UL them to Gamba or Jag's site as well. I emailed

Greetings. I have been thinking off and on about trying the compact
flash/pc card boot drive idea for my 3400. I am noticing that compact
flash is now available in various high-speed formats. Would a higher
speed compact flash module improve performance as a boot drive? Thanks.

What, if any, is the identity of the CD-ROM-R-R/W mechanism which will

Most any standard slim optical will fit into the 12x EBM, however I've
yet to lay my hands on SW capable of burning with an EBM CD-R/W in a
PB1400.
