Ok I finally tried shaving a cardbus usb card (Macally Part #UH276) and it works great. I couldn't get that USB 1.4.1 update to load directly onto the machine so I loaded it on another computer with 9.2.2 then just grabbed the extensions and pulled them over to the 3400, rebooted and I've got
