So basically what this all comes down to, if I understand this right,
is that I need a new motherboard, not the PMU board? That'll be fun.

If I were to purchase (assuming I can find one) a Kanga board rather
than a 3400 board, would the 3400 RAM still work in the Kanga?

Hey All,
I have a PowerBook 170 with two batteries, both in what appears to be
working condition. Both of them charge in the external battery charger
and the PowerBook shows their battery levels within Mac OS. However, I
cannot get the PowerBook to either boot or run from either battery
