Seems whenever I try to use either my GV Powerport Platinum Pro or Dayna
Communicard Ethernet PC cards, my 1400 freezes after the first extension
loads up. Strangely enough, if I remove the card before booting, it
boots fine. Why would the card being installed cause the extensions to
lock up?

Is there a PowerBook swap list? I would like to off-load this iBook for
something a bit more to my needs (plus some cash of course).

I'll send this to the group for an opinion.
Should I make this trade or not?
Things I need in a laptop...OS X, USB, Firewire (for my iPod which my
iBook can't do and I have no PCMCIA slots), a decent HD, (Or at least
one I can upgrade), a decent video card (or RAM to max out), a fairr

What peripherals do you have, PCMCIA cards?
I have a G3 366 Graphite SE with 192 RAM, CD ROM, one USB, no firewire.
I would like a PowerBook with Firewire capability.
I already have a stock 1400c which is lackluster is speed and
performance so yours would need to outperform the iBook.

Thanks Marshall! I'll give the Classic Networking a go until I can get some
more RAM into this puppy. I just want to get her on the Net just to see if I
can.

I am running 7.1 and I've tried 1.1.1 which it says I need 5 megs of RAM
to install (only have 4 and it gives same message with Virtual on) and
1.0.8 I get a message saying I cannot install Open Transport o
Congrats! I know it was a hard battle for you, but one I persisted with and

Hi listers!
Thanks for
I told them I bought the 5300cs on eBay. As long as it qualified for the

I just had problems with a bad AC connection in my 5300 and Apple sent me a

I expected them to perhaps resolder the connection and send it back as is.
When I opened the box, not only had they replaced the entire logic board (AC
