Absolutely. I have one and I do.
If you remember the os checks the floppy drive first to see if it has a
startup disk. One way to check is to remember that Norton Utilites (and
others) need a bootable disk to perform certain operations. The Earlier
Norton had a program to make a bootable disk

Can't see why not?
It originally shipped with 7.5.3 which was capable of booting from a floppy.
