I use a new Kodak DX4330 which is great camera. Primarily it's plugged into
my G4 using the Dock, but for my 3400 I bought a PC Card adaptor on ebay for
£18 that takes everything except compact flash - those readers are even
cheaper. Speed is about the same as USB and it works a treat. The files
Exactly -- I don't have that bit yet, but it is supposed to be much more
convenient, you're right. Even dad complained less when he used it. ;-)

Basically I think as far as battery usage goes a PCMCIA to CF or USB would
be the way to go. I think that hooking up a camera to the serial port is a
waste of battery power.
By older do you mean 10 months or a couple of years?
