I haven't tried it, but what you do (at least in the references I've found) is take apart your Airport base station, remove the existing card, put in the card to upgrade, then upgrade the airport to Airport 2.0. Or, you can install the card in your Pismo's internal slot and upgrade to AP 2.0.
