PB 1400 - how to unplug trackpad?

Hi, I would like to remove the trackpad of a 1400 as it seems to cause some problems. But how can I unplug it from the cable that I see after removing the keyboard, located right beside the harddisk? Just pulling the cable gently didn't work. Do I need special tools or skills? Or a more rude ap
